First Bridal Shower

I have to start off by saying that I have the best girlfriends in the world!! It is so true that you can have people come in and out of your life often but a true friend will remain with you forever. I have to give major props to my best girlfriends - Jenn, Jenn & Kellie. They threw a wonderful bridal shower with some of my dearest friends. It was so fun to see everyone together and still even now, seems odd that it was me we were celebrating. I'm so thankful for wonderful friends.

So, on to the good stuff. The friend bridal shower is going down as one of the best times ever. I don't think I've laughed that hard in I don't know how long. There were some really 'fun' gifts...some that I'm still not sure what to do with. In time, in time! Gina gets the prize for giving the naughtiest stuff. We were all dying - I kept saying, they seriously make this stuff! It was all in fun though and even though there was a little embarrassment, it was still fun.
Thanks to Jenn T. for having the party at her house. Thanks to Jenn W. for taking all of the pics - since I left my camera on my counter at home.

Let the games begin...we started things off with Gina's naughty present.

This was just the beginning of our laughter....the sex coupon book.

And it just kept getting better...

And better...

Seriously...that can't be comfortable. I later found out, comfort doesn't really matter!

Favorite Memory

I've seen this posted on a few people's blogs and thought it would be fun to try out!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, just leave anything you remember.
2. Next, if you feel so inclined, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. Leave one for me, and I'll be sure to leave one for you on your blog too!

Date Night with Zoey

A couple of weeks ago Jenny asked me if I would watch Zoey while she had Bunco and Ben had Young Men's. I was excited to take Zoey for the night. When I went to pick her up she was so excited and said, "Are you ready to go on our date?" I looked at Ben and he was like - Jenny must have told her you were going on a date. I told her we were going to have fun. I had planned to go shopping and take her to McDonalds - her favorite place because she can have chicken nuggets, fries, a toy and a sprite! We went to Walmart and McDonalds - I thought it was a great date - I told her we would go see Grandma...she kept saying "when are we going to go on our date?" I told her we were on our date. I guess she thought I needed to take her some place spectacular - like a Disney on Ice thing or movie...shopping at Walmart and McDonalds just didn't cut it. So, I asked Jenny if I could take her on a "real date" this past week. Steve works for American Fork City where they have Steel Days. They have fun things for kids, a carnival, picnic in the park and a movie on the big screen. I picked up Zoey for our date and she looked so cute. Jenny had gotten her all fixed up - not that she ever is not looking so cute! We had a blast. We drove to AF - the traffic was horrible - Zoey kept yelling at the cars, "get out of the way cars"...hmm, wonder where she got that - I'm guessing either mommy or aunt Kimmy. We finally got there and met Steve and had fun at the Carnival. We then went to the park where we had a picnic and watched the movie. I had such a fun time with Zoey - she is the cutest little girl and I'm glad we could spend time together.
Zoey loved the Merry-Go-Round and wanted to go on the tallest horse.

The caterpillar rollercoaster was her favorite.

We had to go on the Donald Duck boats.

She found a new friend on the spaceship ride.

Zoey didn't want to walk back to the car - I was too hot to hold her - so Steve gave her a ride on his shoulders.

I just thought this was cute.

We had a picnic - we picked up her Happy Meal on the way to the park.

This picture doesn't do it justice, but Zoey has the cutest freckles on her nose.

Zoey loves hanging out with Steve - so do I!

Zoey wanted to go on the big slide - once she walked up the steps she had a slight meltdown - guess she didn't realize that it would be that high. A nice little boy helped her by telling her to try it on her tummy - she finally came down and then said "That was so fun!"

Zoey told the lady she wanted a pretty red flower - she was so excited and wanted me to take a picture so she could see it...thank goodness for digital cameras!

We had so much fun!!

4th of July Weekend

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. It started with a fun sleepover with Zoey. Ever since I've moved into my new house Zoey has begged to sleepover in her bedroom. I have a little room set up upstairs and she has always thought of it as her room. I spent Wednesday night out with Jenny and Zoey doing some shopping. On our way home Zoey asked if she could sleepover and it just so happened that I had the next day off work. It was fun....but she stayed up way to late...had to finish Alice and Wonderland first.

Thursday we spent a fun day at the pool with Zoey & Jenny. Zoey has been taking swim classes over at the WV Fitness Center. It was fun to go and actually swim with them...it was also nice to have an extra day off from work. Zoey was not going to let me just sit and hang out with mommy by the side. She was constantly wanting to jump in to the deep end with me catching her. It didn't end until we finally told her we had to leave. It was sure fun hanging out with them though. Later that night, Steve and I went and saw the movie "Hancock". It was okay. After the movie, we went to Steve's sister's home and hung out with some of his family.

Friday the 4th we spent the morning with my mom, helping her to clean up some things in her yard. It was a good day to do it because the clouds made it so it wasn't too hot. Steve and I spent the night of the 4th of July with a friend from Steve's mission. It was nice to meet the Wilburs and we had so much fun with their family. We had a bbq, lit some of our own fireworks and then drove to Cabellas where we watched the Thanksgiving Point firework show. It was a fun night.

Saturday, we celebrated my mom's birthday with her family. We had a yummy breakfast followed by a water war...it wasn't just a water fight almost everyone got involved and it quickly became a war. Zoey was the only one dressed for it, the rest of us got our clothes a little wet...some of us got them soaked. We all had a great time though.

Today is my mommy's birthday!! My mom is the most amazing woman in the world. I am so blessed to have her in my life. She has taught me what it is to be a mom. She would give anything for her kids and she wants nothing more than for them to be happy. Tonight we had a bbq at Jen & Ben's house. It was nice to be with our family again. I enjoy being with all of them so much. Thanks for being the best mom ever - we love you so much!
